Last Friday, Monard NS welcomed the great grand children of the first ever Principal of the school (Mr. Patrick Ryan) and the grand children of the second Principal. (Mr. Neddy Ryan, Patrick's son). The Ryan and Cavendish families travelled from USA. Hong Kong and Wicklow to visit the home and school of their parents. Each class performed for them and they were treated to songs in Irish and English, poetry, Irish dancing, ukulele playing and a hurling trick!
